The week of June 9, 2025, our partner, María José Machaín, took part of an amazing week which started at the McDougall Centre in Calgary, engaging with Alberta’s oil and gas community during the event organized by the Argentine Canadian Chamber of Commerce and the Government of Alberta, “Vaca Muerta and Beyond: Opportunities in Argentina’s Energy Future.”
Argentina’s Ambassador to Canada, Ms. Josefina Martinez Gramuglia, spoke about the thriving and evolving relationship between Argentina and Canada.
The week continued with the opening of the Global Energy Show 2025 and the Canadian Council of the Americas breakfast, where participants explored investment opportunities in Neuquén and Río Negro, and discussed recent changes in Argentina.
To cap off the week, María José also attended the annual event hosted by SAIT as part of the GES, where she had the opportunity to speak with Alberta’s Minister of Jobs, Economy, and Trade, Mr. Joseph Schow, about how insightful and enriching these exchanges between Alberta and Argentina truly are.
