On April 9, our partner Bernardo Bertelloni took part in the meeting of the Commercial Study Group of GIIGNL (International Group of LNG Importers) held in Puerto Rico, where he shared an update on Argentina’s LNG export projects.

His presentation focused on Argentina’s macro and regulatory reset, the growth of Vaca Muerta, current crude and gas export dynamics, and the two flagship LNG projects currently shaping the country’s export outlook: Southern Energy and Argentina LNG.

His main takeaway was that Argentina’s LNG opportunity is now less a question of subsurface potential and much more a question of integrated execution: upstream delivery, infrastructure build-out, regulatory stability, financing, and bankable long-term commercialization.

Martelli Abogados thanks GIIGNL for the opportunity to share this update and exchange views on a topic that is becoming increasingly relevant to the global LNG market.
